Quantity Serveryor (Llanelli)
£30,000 to £60,000
To manage all the costs relating to the building projects from the initial calculations to the final figures, maximising forecast gross margin. The Quantity Surveyor will assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks through the implementation of in-house policies and procedures as well as ensuring that projects are achieving and adhering to the required standards and quality as specified by statutory building regulations.
Main Duties:
Procure and appoint sub-contractors including all enquiries, tender evaluation and placement of orders.
Manage subcontractor accounts including managing and controlling changes, allocating work, valuing and processing payments, monitoring subcontractor delivery and performance and assessing and agreeing variations.
Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks.
Administration of the main contract by understanding and abiding by contractual obligations.
Providing advice on contractual claims.
Final account negotiation and agreement with clients and arranging payments.
Preparation of cash flow and turnover forecast and updating them on a monthly basis.
Training and mentoring of any trainees or work placements.
Working with and developing the knowledge of the company buyer.
