Job Title: Graduate Site Engineer
Location: County Tyrone
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday (7.30am – 5pm)
Sites across Northern Ireland
Company Van & Fuel card provided
The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of all company projects, ensuring they are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. Collaborating closely with the Contracts Manager, Site Foremen, and subcontractors, the Site Engineer will coordinate works and maintain quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management:
* Plan, supervise, and coordinate works across construction sites, ensuring compliance with project programmes and specifications.
* Manage direct labour and appointed subcontractors, monitoring performance against programme.
* Optimise usage of company resources including manpower, plant, and resources.
* Monitor progress and report daily activities in line with programme requirements.
* Measure works on site to support preparation of interim/final accounts.
Technical Support:
* Provide day-to-day engineering/technical guidance to site teams, identifying and addressing potential or actual technical problems.
* Interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications, communicating requirements to site teams.
Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Control:
* Ensure compliance with company’s SHEQ Management Systems and Procedures, including Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
* Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and site audits to promote safety awareness and accountability.
* Identify deviations from project specifications and implement corrective actions.
* Liaise with clients, engineers, architects, statutory agencies, etc., to ensure successful project delivery and maintain good business relations.
Requirements:
* Third Level Qualification in Engineering (civil/structural) or related discipline.
* Minimum of one years’ experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering industry.
* Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, with a focus on groundworks.
* Strong technical skills, including proficiency in AutoCAD software and surveying equipment.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Valid UK Driving Licence required.
