We are a dynamic e-commerce company expanding into the UK market with plans to establish our own delivery network. To achieve this, we are seeking an experienced Logistics & Last-Mile Network Design Manager to lead the design and implementation of an efficient, scalable, and customer-centric delivery network. Role Summary: The Logistics & Last-Mile Network Design Manager will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and implementing the end-to-end logistics network for our operations. This role involves strategic planning of parcel transit points, sortation locations, transportation methods, and delivery routes, ensuring cost efficiency, operational effectiveness, and superior customer experience. Key Responsibilities: Network Design: Develop a comprehensive logistics and last-mile delivery network, including transit points, sortation hubs, and delivery nodes. Transportation Strategy: Define and recommend the best transportation methods for each section of the delivery process, from inbound to last mile. Delivery Route Optimization: Plan and implement optimal delivery routes to enhance efficiency and meet service-level agreements. Capacity Planning: Forecast and allocate resources to meet volume demands across the network. Technology Integration: Collaborate with IT teams to integrate technologies such as routing software, GPS tracking, and other logistics tools into operations. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, third-party logistics providers, and government agencies to ensure smooth implementation and compliance. Cost Management: Optimize the logistics network to balance cost efficiency with operational effectiveness. KPI Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the network. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance the network's performance. Qualifications: Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, and last-mile network design, preferably within the e-commerce or retail sector. Strong understanding of logistics network components, including sortation hubs, transportation methods, and parcel transit flows. Expertise in route planning and optimization techniques. Proficient in using logistics software and tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong project management abilities with attention to detail. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. As a lot of communications with HQ will be needed, Chinese speaking will be a great advantage.
