The opportunity
Are you passionate about e-commerce and have an instinct for identifying top-selling products? We are looking for a dedicated online sales listing creator to join our dynamic team and help us choose the best products to sell online such as vintage clothing, jewellery and photography equipment.
The British Heart Foundation is one of the most successful charity retailers in the UK. Our Ecommerce operation is our second biggest source of revenue turning donated items in to £millions that fund our life-saving work.
This is a role working 35 hours a week in our Leeds eBay warehouse.
Please note that remote working will only be available after the probation period.
You’ll join the team on a permanent contract.
What does this role involve?
As an online listing creator you will be selecting the top items for online auction, to drive sales growth and maximise profits. Photographing, researching and preparing items for auction, creating item descriptions to optimise the sales value of items. You will be making bold decisions and regularly contributing new ideas.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is a good team player, working in a busy environment and a quick learner with an interest in ecommerce.
Computer literacy is a must with intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office suite, excellent written communication and attention to detail.
Our eBay teams work across multiple departments including clothing, jewellery, electronics, toys and games so you will gain exposure to lots of different and exciting donated items.
What’s important to us?
At the British Heart Foundation (BHF) we offer a huge range of new and used quality furniture, clothing, jewellery and more, available in store and online.
In addition to raising funds for the BHF, we connect with our local communities and help reduce clothing and furniture waste across the UK. With over 700 stores we make a huge environmental impact by preventing around 70,000 tonnes of unwanted items going to landfill every year. We receive 1.6 million items donated to our home stores and 9.8 million bags of donated items and will continue to build upon our reuse agenda in the years to come.
Everything we do comes back to funding lifesaving research for all heart and circulatory conditions. We are more ambitious and determined than ever – because the cures and treatments we need are in sight. You could be part of getting us there sooner!
Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy, Igniting Change, along with our internal EDI group, Kaleidoscope, and a growing number of employee network groups (our Affinity Groups), help us create an environment where all our colleagues and volunteers can succeed.
Why join the BHF?
We have a strong culture of internal progression and will actively support you to develop your career.
Our generous staff benefits include:
