At BPAS, we have an exciting opportunity for aHealthcare Assistant to join our BPAS Doncaster unit on a casual basis.We are looking for someone who by working alongside our Nurses & Midwives will be able provide the best client care.
You will assist the clinical team to maintain andimprove high standards of client care within the operating department andrecovery areas of the unit. You willalso carry out assigned tasks unsupervised in support of a registeredpractitioner and care for our clients.
About You
You will have experience working in healthcare especially in a hospital, GP practice or operating theatre setting. With a positive can do attitude you will enjoy working as a part of a team and be passionate about helping and caring for others.
Candidates will need to be comfortable with terminations of pregnancy and seeing this procedure in theatre.
Main duties of the job
KeyResponsibilities:
1. Toassist with the care, support and observations of the client before and aftertreatment, report findings to the Registered Practitioners.
2. Toassist in the preparation and serving of refreshments
3. Help check and preparethe operating department environment and equipment prior to use, betweenclients and at the end of a list.
4. Undertake counts ofswabs, instruments and needles in conjunction with another trained member ofthe surgical team, and assist the surgical team during surgical procedures.
5. To havean understanding of clients' individual needs and to maintain a helpful,courteous approach to clients, visitors and colleagues.

6. Care certificate in healthcare / NVQ Level 3 in health and social care /Diploma in health and support level 3
