Carbon60 are working with a leading Engineering & Industrial Services Provider with over 200 sites across the UK and Republic of Ireland. We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to work on site with a key customer based in Scarborough.
This position is initially a 12 week temporary to permanent opportunity. There are substantial opportunities to train and develop in this role so longevity is the aim.
In this role, you will be providing on site lubrication support for mechanical equipment within the factory in addition to:
* Carrying out daily lubrication checks as detailed by the Customers Planned Maintenance team.
* Assisting with lubrication training of customers operational personnel as and when required.
* Carrying out repairs and modifications to issues found whilst carrying out lubrication duties as required in a safe and efficient manner.
* Liaise with Production regarding lubrication issues as identified during day-to-day duties.
* To assist and implement downtime reduction projects as and when required.
* Carry out first line maintenance activities, assessing and escalating issues when necessary.
Skills needed:
* GCSE (or equivalent) English Language and Mathematics.
* Worked in at least one of an industrial, maintenance, workshop, engineering or factory environment to be able to adhere to health and safety standards.
* Experience in use of hand tools and conducting basic maintenance tasks.
* Keen attitude/focus to commit to training and development to succeed in this role.
* Ability to use standard MS Office systems and possess basic IT Skills.

This position offers a great insight into the engineering world, allowing you to work independently and as part of a team.
It offers standard day shifts of Monday - Friday 08:00am - 17:00pm, 40 hours/week.
