Anexciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join theWorcestershire Localities within the Neighbourhood Community Mental HealthTeams (NMHT).
An exciting opportunity for either an experiencedOT or someone wishing to develop their career.As enthusiastic OT you will lead practice development and will besupported within the team by both the clinical and leadership structure.
Contributing to the delivery of our services,facilitating group interventions and working with individuals on improving thefunctioning in their lives, as a key member of our MDT across the Primary CareNetworks ensuring our patients receive expert care focused on recovery.
The post is for hours a week Monday to Friday,although we would consider applications for hours a week over 3 days. Wealso allow flexibility for hybrid working if clinically possible.

Main duties of the job
You would be working as partof a well-established and supportive Occupational Therapy team. All our OTscomplete specific and Specialist Occupational Therapy Roles as part of the MDT.The role involves:
1. Being part of the OT provision
2. Supervised and supported by OT's
3. Part of an MDT that values and respects OT
4. Able to use your initiative and creative skills
5. Developing knowledge and application of the Model of Human Occupationand other specialist assessmentsTheability to communicate effectively
6. Working flexibly toprovide the service delivery need across the county
7. Being an enthusiastic,motivated and innovative thinker to become part of the team
8. An ability to workautonomously to manage your own case load
9. An ability to problemsolve and manage time effectively
10. Experience ofworking with this user group in community settings.
11. Attending weekly MDT meetings,participate in professionals meetings, signpost to adjunct services dependingon patient need.

16. Provide leadership for junior staff, through supervision andappraisal.

19. Contribute to the maintenance and development of the Trust OTService
20. Regularly supervise OT students

Knowledge
Essential
21. Specialist knowledge and application of occupational therapy assessments and interventions relevant to client group.
22. Knowledge / experience of audit procedures
23. Understanding of occupational therapy outcome measures
24. Detailed knowledge of mental health legislation and current practice
25. Detailed knowledge of the principles of clinical governance and its application
Desirable
26. Working knowledge and experience of the application of the Model of Human Occupation
27. Knowledge of occupational therapy models of practice
