Senior IT Technician required. My client is a large award-winning IT firm based in Penryn, Cornwall. They provide IT Support, Cybersecurity and Cloud Phone Systems for Businesses and Schools throughout Cornwall, Devon and beyond.
They are now seeking a people person that enjoys interacting with customers for this challenging but very rewarding role. If you are a qualified IT engineer with a minimum of 3 years experience supporting Microsoft networks and Microsoft Cloud Solutions, then this may well be the role you are looking for to advance your IT career further.
The role of Senior Engineer involves working on projects to move customers into an Azure environment, visiting our customer site to resolve issues that may have been reported, and working from the office as well as home working.
Position Responsibilities
1. Managing and recording tech support tasks in NCI’s Ticketing System
2. Communicate to customers the status of their ticket every step of the journey to completion
3. Providing tech support and assistance via remote tools (RMM/PSA)
4. Tech support of Windows Desktop, Microsoft 365, Backup Systems, Endpoint Security, Business Applications & Network Infrastructure
5. Administration of Windows Server and Microsoft 365
6. You will be required to follow the Microsoft MCP Syllabus and complete at-least 1 MCP exam per year. NCI will cover the cost of exams and training materials.
Position Requirements
7. Full UK clean driving license
8. Knowledge of Azure, Office 365 and Intune
9. Switching and Wifi Knowledge
10. Minimum 3 years in a IT support role
11. Backup Software Knowledge
12. Great IT problem solving skills
13. Excellent telephone manner
14. Networking knowledge (Supporting Firewalls)
15. Not phased by a busy environment
Position Remuneration
16. Monday to Friday
17. £28,000 – 40,000 DOE
18. 28 days holiday including bank holidays
