In this Key Worker opportunity in Chesterfield, you will join a charity assisting vulnerable Individuals In crisis and needing a safe haven to seek advice and guidance from point of entry to the service .
Key responsibilities
In this Key Worker job, your responsibilities will include:
1. Offer support from first point of entry Into the service - lending a friendly manner to encourage safety and non-judgemental advice
2. Working with people offered supported opportunities for them to Improve their quality of life, develop their skills and make decisions about their life
3. Helping to promote Individuality, Independence and recovery
4. Responding appropriately to challenging behaviours to promote well-being of people and staff on site
5. Liaise with Referral teams and agencies regarding vacancies and referrals - also authorises such as police, ambulance and social workers
6. Assessing and reviewing future housing and support needs, Identifying and coordinating Internal and external services In response to these
7. Participate In 24 hours rota to ensure cover Is maintained for service delivery where appropriate
Skills & experience of a Key Worker
8. Proven track record of working In a key Worker role previously - will need experience of working In homelessness / domestic violence / substance misuse or mental health
9. Holds an enhanced DBS child and adult cleared - Issued In the last 12 months or on the update service
10. Flexible to work over days, evening and weekends when required
