We are looking for a personal assistant / Carer for a young female in Congleton, CW12.
This young lady has autism, learning difficulties and is non-verbal. She is able to use certain words, but cannot hold a full conversation.
She loves bowling, cinema, going to the park, going to the canal to feed the ducks but does not like walking too much though & does not like dogs.
Hours & Pay Rate
£12.90 per hour
2 hours per week with the potential of more hours once a relationship has been built up with this young lady.
Main Duties
This role is mainly for social activities - to build up a relationship with this young lady and help her to develop life skills and Independence - this could be as simple as taking her to the supermarket to buy a couple of items.
Help to build up this young lady’s confidence in going outdoors & socializing - This could be a visit to the park, walk down the canal to feed the ducks, having a game of bowling, or going out for dinner somewhere local.
Employer would like the PA to be pro-active and maybe even provide different ideas on places to visit with this lady.
The main duties identified in the job description are examples of the expectations required; there may be occasions where you are reasonably requested to provide additional activities to be undertaken inside or outside of the home.
Personal Assistant Specification
The post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure which will be funded through your employer.
PA ideally needs to be local & know the area.
Driver’s licence is desirable due to the nature of the role.
Experience in the care sector is essential for this role.

You must be able to work well independently.
Supervision
My personal assistant is accountable to the employer in all aspects of their work. They should always ask what my needs are and listen to my directions and requests.
