We are looking to hire an organized project administrator to perform clerical duties on our Taste of Africa events. Taste of Africa Northeast is an organisation that delivers various cultural events using African Arts, culture and heritage as its vehicle. It delivers various projects to promote cultural diversity and inclusion in the Northeast.
Project Administrator Responsibilities:
* Schedule meetings and take minutes where necessary.
* Order office supplies as needed.
* Respond to queries and requests for information.
* Prepare requested documents for team members.
* Conduct basic research for team members.
* Create progress reports.
* Respond to emails as required and update databases.
* Coordinate activities of the organisation.
* Input and track expenses and other basic bookkeeping.
* Act as point of contact for internal and external clients.
* Maintain contact list.
Project Administrator Requirements:
* Prior experience as an administrator or a related administrative role.
* Attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience dealing with different projects.
* Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or Office Admin Assistant.
* Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
* Working knowledge of office equipment.
* Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
