The successful post holder will manage all aspects of fire safety across the organisations assets ensuring services are maintained and improved.
The successful post holder will also support compliance with both statutory and non-statutory fire safety legislation and associated building regulations.
Duties & Responsibilitis:
1. Ensuring the FRA programmes are delivered on time and to the required standard through the application of a quality assurance programme
2. Ensuring compliance with legislation through the use of performance data, risk assessments and audits of commerical/residential properties
3. To act as a subject matter expert for the company, in relation to fire safety
4. Support, develop and maintain the Housing Fire Risk Management Policy
5. To act as a resource and liaise with managers and staff at all levels within the Council implementing fire safety standards and initiatives
6. To provide expert advice and guidance to managers and staff at all levels of the organisation and act as a focal point for the management of fire safety issues
7. To provide technical expertise to the Fire Safety Manager and the Fire Safety Team to enable their duties to be fulfilled effectively
8. Challenge their current contractors, on the current fire programmes running
Working
Hours: 37 per week, Monday - Friday
Requirements:
9. Fire safety qualification, NEBOSH or similar recognised Fire Safety Certificate Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety
10. Minimum 3 years' experience within the fire safety sector, property management or similar sector
11. Experience of working in a building compliance or fire service environment
12. Code of practice for fire safety in design, management and use of residential buildings.
13. Knowledge of Fire Risk Assessment process and guidance/best practice
14. Specialist knowledge of fire safety legislation and its applications to housing
