About the role
At our Hinckley site we are currently recruiting for a professional receptionist to provide a comprehensive reception service for all visitors and staff. The successful candidate must be reliable, take pride in their work and as first point of contact for visitors be a confident and welcoming member of the team.
This is a corporate front of house receptionist role and as such, suitable experience is required. Working closely with other team members we will expect a high level of initiative. Motivation and cooperation couple with a positive ‘can do’ approach to the work.
The main duties of the role will include but not be limited to the following:
1. Answering all incoming calls (currently circa 200 per day); transferring, re-directing or assisting callers as appropriate; updating the switchboard and maintaining the office telephone list.
2. Welcoming all visitors and ensuring their presence on-site is recorded accurately, in line with health and safety requirements, and that they are given appropriate attention and assistance.
3. Sorting incoming mail and franking outgoing mail; ensuring that the franking machine is maintained; dealing with deliveries and ordering couriers.
4. Mailbox management and co-ordinating the booking of on-site meeting rooms, finding solutions at times of high demand; assisting with the setting up and clearing of rooms when time allows.
5. Collating and controlling stationary supplies
6. Fire Warden for DS Smith Plc in the event of an emergency evacuation of the building.
7. Ensuring the Reception and kitchen area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
What we would like our candidate to have:
8. Experience in a similar corporate, high-profile role.
9. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
10. Confident and experienced with telephone systems and diary management.
11. Excellent personal presentation and clear diction.
12. A calm manner and the ability to think and react quickly when under pressure.
