Newcastle College require a dedicated, enthusiastic and qualified person to take on the role of Lecturer in Advanced Technical Lecturer – Electrical
The main responsibilities of this role include the delivery and assessment of high quality learning programmes in Electrical Installations or Electrotechnical across a range of levels of further education, and / or apprenticeship provision, as well as undertaking a range of programme leadership, tutorial and programme administration duties.
This post requires a strong background in Electrical and the Built Environment and the candidate must have proven track record of professional / vocational expertise in the Built Environment with AN Electrical installation Domestic Commercial or electrotechnical bias.
The candidate must be suitably qualified to the industry-and recognised standard in relevant built environment electrical qualifications at L3 minimum, AM2 and electrical inspection are also required for this role. The candidate should also hold a post-16 teaching qualification and English and maths qualifications at level 2, or be willing to achieve these within an agreed timeframe. It is desirable that the candidate has experience of effective programme leadership in FE, HE and / or Apprenticeships and has a proven track record of successful teaching and assessment practice.
An ability to self-manage workload, meet deadlines alongside strong oral and written communication skills and good IT skills are also essential. The hours of work will be flexible and may include evening and weekends according to demand.
