The Role
As a professional and experienced Midwife, you’ll have a wide range of responsibilities, including monitoring the health and progress of pregnancy, conducting prenatal examinations, and assisting in labour and delivery. You’ll offer guidance on prenatal nutrition, childbirth preparation, and pain management options. You’ll also facilitate the birthing process, ensuring the safety and well-being of both the mother and newborn. After childbirth, you’ll provide postnatal care, including breastfeeding support, newborn care education, and postpartum health checks.
Your role is to empower and educate patients to make informed choices about their childbirth experience while prioritising a safe and healthy outcome for both mother and baby. This means you’ll need to have excellent communication skills, high levels of patience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
