PLM/Configuration Process Trainer
Location: Glasgow
Hours of work: 37 Hrs/Week (Monday-Friday) – Minimum 4 days at office

Our Opportunity
This is a hugely varied role where no 2 days are the same. If you thrive on exploring problems through to solutions, supporting projects and users on a daily basis, as well as being an expert in a PLM tool and process, then this could be a great opportunity.
Offering daily support on the PLM (Product lifecycle management) tool Palma across all disciplines within the OME business across the UK. Working as part of the Configuration Management team you will be a highly valued and critical asset to the team, projects, functions and ad-hoc business initiatives.
As an established and recognised expert you will be the go-to person for Palma users.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
4. Deliver PALMA training in a variety of environments from face-to-face and remotely. Individual and Group training. This may include a classroom situation.
5. Customise training and delivery to different job roles. Providing tailored training for project users, across all of the LR levels.
6. Closely liaise with and support all disciplines in the use of PALMA.
7. Understand roles, permissions and responsibilities within PALMA, and the importance of ensuring the correct levels of permissions are set for restricted project containers. Setting up user permissions and roles within the PALMA containers.
8. Peer review training material, feeding back suggestions and test updates.
9. Address common Issues 70%/New Issues 30%/Issues not commonly understood 10%.
10. Be a team player and support the Configuration Management team.
11. Monitoring the nature of queries from either functions or individuals in order to identify areas where process is not embedded and deliver targeted functional training to that function.
12. Know your Internal Customers and their needs.
About You
13. You will ideally have a minimum of 6 months experience working on PLM(Product lifecycle management) toolsets for example PALMA/Windchill/Teamcenter.
14. You have experience/interest in training and processes.
15. The ability to listen and understand user questions and follow through to resolution. (Directly or indirectly by knowing who to go to for assistance/advice).
16. A passion for supporting your team members in their roles using your expertise / contacts throughout the business, and all business users as a whole.
17. Embracing new / changes to processes and an encouraging a positive attitude in embedding processes throughout the business.
18. You are able to multi-task and prioritise without requiring regular direct supervision
19. You will be someone who is process driven, methodical, analytical and detail oriented.
20. You are a communicator and a team player: you are willing to help and establish strong relationships with the rest of the team
21. Ability to predict business training needs and design training courses accordingly.
22. Question the norm, providing solutions, not problems, and show examples of lessons learned.
23. Close attention to detail - The role is often interrogating issues with data, and promoting accurate data entry into various areas is mandatory.
24. Investing time in the development of others. Have a willingness to continually learn and develop as processes change, and encourage others to develop.
25. Awareness of MS Office Suite. (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
26. Ability to use MS Teams/Jabber for meetings, and for providing and receiving training.

This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance. Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
