We're looking for graduates to join our operations team within Clevedon, half an hour from the vibrant city of Bristol.
The Role
You will be reporting to Lead Engineer / Early Careers Specialist. You will enter the business into the Clevedon facility and throughout the course of the graduate scheme, spend 2 years on a series of placements across our operational & engineering functions.
During each rotation, your daily work will be overseen by a manager who will set goals specific to that placement. You will be set challenging and exciting projects to put your knowledge to the test but immerse yourself in the real-world challenges of a manufacturing facility. Example projects include:
* Design and Development: Create and develop mechatronic systems, such as robotics, automated machinery, and smart devices, that integrate mechanical, electrical, and computer systems.
* System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to combine mechanical, electronic, and software components into functional and efficient systems.
* Prototyping and Testing: Build and test prototypes, ensuring that the systems meet technical specifications, safety standards, and performance targets.
* Automation and Control: Develop control systems using sensors, actuators, and controllers to automate processes, improve precision, and optimize system performance.
* Software Development: Write and modify software programs for embedded systems, including using simulation tools like MATLAB, Simulink, and other CAD/CAE software to model and simulate systems.

Knowledge and Skills required -
* Proficiency in mechanical design, electronics, and software development.
* Strong understanding of control systems, sensors, and actuators.
* Experience with CAD/CAE software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD) for designing mechanical components.
* Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Python, MATLAB) for embedded systems.
* Knowledge of robotics systems, automation frameworks, and PLC programming.
* Understanding of microcontroller and microprocessor systems.
About you
You are an engineering graduate with a minimum 2:1 bachelor's degree within a Mechanical / Electrical engineering or relevant discipline.
