Senior Safeguarding Officer

Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Swindon.
Role Purpose
* targeted interventions to address day-to-day or long-term challenges.
* Act as a senior member of the safeguarding team, overseeing safeguarding referrals, deputizing for the Head of Safeguarding, and supervising Safeguarding Coordinators.
Responsibilities
* Provide pastoral support to students, addressing issues such as anxiety, behavior, mental health, and safeguarding concerns.
* Act as a senior member of the Safeguarding Team, handling safeguarding referrals and liaising with external agencies.
* Maintain accurate records of student support activities and safeguarding actions in systems.
* Serve as a primary contact for staff with concerns about students, offering advice and guidance on appropriate interventions.
* Support looked-after children and young carers by ensuring they receive appropriate care and attention.
* Supervise and support Safeguarding Coordinators, managing workloads, priorities, and ensuring cases are properly closed.
