I am supporting a partnering school in recruiting for a Teacher of English on full time basis to start in January 2025.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality English language and Literature lessons to students across Key Stage 3 & 4 and fostering a positive learning environment.
With a strong command of English grammar, literature, writing skills, and pedagogy, we hope to recruit someone who will be able to engage students in meaningful, interactive lessons that encourage a love of language and reading.

Skills required…
* Strong understanding of both English Literature and English Language, with the ability to explain them clearly to students of varying abilities.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Proficiency with educational technology, including online learning platforms, and tools for interactive math instruction.
* Ability to engage students in meaningful discussions and critical thinking
* Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
* Ability to differentiate instruction and provide support for students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities….
* Designing and implementing engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum, promote student participation, covering reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, literature and language arts.
* Developing and administering assignments, quizzes, and exams to assess student progress. Provide timely feedback to students on their work, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes.
* Create a respectful and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning. Manage student behaviour and resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
* Able to offer additional support to students who need help, providing one-on-one or small group instruction when necessary. Develop strategies to support diverse learning styles.
* Work closely with other faculty members, administrators, and parents to promote a collaborative, inclusive, and productive learning environment.
* Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, stay current with developments in mathematics education, and integrate new teaching strategies and technologies into the classroom.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and assessments. Participate in faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school-related events.
Qualifications:
* A Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
* QTS, QTLS, and / or relevant teaching experience
