Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Chepstow
Hours: 8.30am-3.30pm
Rate: From £77 - £90 per day.
Start date: ASAP
Teaching personnel are working alongside a secondary school Chepstow. It is a co-educational school which meets the needs of 11–18-year-olds with children of all abilities. They school are looking for an efficient, enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join them as a teaching assistant as part of their Well-being. You may be expected to work 1:1 with children or as a part of small groups.
This role is ideal for anyone looking to take the step into education. Training will be provided to upskill and gain qualifications on school site.
Anyone who has a completed a degree is advised to apply however this is not a mandatory requirement.
No previous experience working within education is necessary, however if you have relevant personal experience this will help.
Role Description
- You will support the teacher in charge.
- Support students working in the classroom.
- Prepare learning materials and support the teacher.
- Create a friendly welcoming environment where the pupils can thrive.
- You should be reliable.
- Able to build relationships with pupils and make them feel comfortable.
The successful candidate should have.
- Excellent communication skills
- You will need to be flexible and reliable.
- You must have a friendly, approachable manner.
- You should have a drive for working in education and helping children succeed.
Requirements
Enhanced DBS cleared & on the update service (or willing to apply)
EWC registered (or willing to apply)
Be able to provide 2 of your most recent references.
Have the right to work in the UK.
Have up to date safeguarding training or willing to take it. (Provided for free by Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
