2 posts available - 1 based at Goole Health Centre and 1 based at Withernsea Hospital. Both up to 30 hours.
CHCP have an exiting opportunity for two suitably qualified and experienced podiatrists to come and join our existing established podiatry service. We are looking for individuals who are wishing to progress their career and clinical skills and who have the skills and attributes required to work autonomously at band 6 level. CHCP were one of the first tranche sites to introduce the National Wound care Strategy Programme and have developed direct referral pathways to specialist services.
Main duties of the job
We require innovative clinicians who have excellent communication skills, resilience and a passion to drive change within the podiatry profession. The roles involve treatment of high risk patients, diabetic and non-diabetic foot ulcers, complex home visits, MSK podiatry intervention. There will also be a requirement to deliver preventative advice and guidance to patients and supervise other staff members and students. Individuals will be supported with their continuous professional development, with peer support and supervision and have opportunities to develop their leadership skills and participate in audit and research.

1. Degree in Podiatry
2. Postgraduate qualification in relevant specialist area or able to demonstrate equivalent level of knowledge and experience
3. Current HCPC professional registration
Knowledge

4. Full understanding of relevant policy, legislation and guidance relevant to clinical and service area
5. Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified clinical area
6. Specialist understanding of relevant clinical practice, standards and protocols within identified clinical area.
7. Evidence of undertaking audits/surveys
8. Basic IT Skills
