Summary of the role
This role can be based in either Edinburgh, Peterborough, Bristol, Basingstoke, or Reading.
As a Senior Risk Manager, you would be responsible for leading a team to manage corporate risk activities, ensuring consistent and effective risk management across shared service functions.
As a key leader within the Enterprise Risk team, the role holder will engage with senior stakeholders, including Diligenta's Executive Management Team and external audit bodies, to support the Head of Enterprise Risk in overseeing and embedding a robust risk management framework.
What you'll be doing
* Supporting the Head of Enterprise Risk in providing risk and control oversight support to the management of risks across all functions.
* Attending senior governance committees, ensuring Diligenta and our customer interests are appropriately considered and risks are openly reported.
* Taking lead in ensuring the risk management framework is maintained, communicated, and operating effectively.
* Providing leadership on the management of functional risks; the role holder will support the business in achieving its strategic and financial objectives, helping to maximise opportunities for growth and avoiding negative impacts.
* Managing the skill and competency of the corporate risk management team.
What we're looking for
* Proven experience within the financial services sector is essential.
* Knowledge of one of the shared service disciplines - finance, IT, or 3rd party management.
* Leadership skills with a track record of motivating teams and driving performance to achieve strategic objectives.
* Conversant with best practice enterprise risk management processes and frameworks.
* Confidence to challenge and engage constructively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Collaborative team player with the ability to build strong relationships and work effectively across departments.
