NDT Project Engineer
Location: Bridgwater

Main Purpose
The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the technical delivery of NDT in accordance with company procedures. The Project Engineer will provide support to the company Technical Authority and company Radiation Protection Supervisor.
Main Responsibilities
* Carry out contract review
* Ensure relevant ECS code is available for referencing
* Act as construction partner focal point for transfer of information relating to delivery of NDT services
* Effective planning, organisation and management of NDT inspection activities incl.
* o Maintaining shift rota
* o Ensuring adequate resources
* Conducts site visits to supervise, audit onsite NDT delivery
* Management of reporting and life time quality records process
* Develop an awareness of customer needs and support the development and implementation of strategies and systems to meet those needs
* Provide support with respect to the development, validation and implementation of new technology, techniques and procedures
* In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the position holder is required to perform other duties assigned by the Site/Project Manager from time to time
* Ensure suitable resources are available and produce look ahead plans based on the fabrication schedule
* Provide Admin support to the supervision
* Proactively look for blockers to delivery and identify potential resolutions
* Conduct pre-job walk downs as required
* Support in the production of RAMS
Experience and Qualifications
Holds or previously held ISO 9712 Level 2 qualification.
Desirable; Qualified to ISO 9712 Level 2 in at least three NDT methods.
Desirable; IOSH Managing safely or NEBOSH certificate
Experienced in the delivery of NDT methods
In field experience in the application of NDT inspection tools and techniques.
Ability to read and interpret commonly used engineering drawings and data sets including piping isometrics, vessel general arrangements and piping schedules.
Excellent working knowledge of international standards and relevant legal regulations relevant to NDT techniques.
Desirable; Experienced in a similar office-based role.
Desirable; Hand-on experience inspecting new construction welds
