Due to some recent project wins, our client is looking for an experienced commercial EV charge point installer to join their team.
The ideal candidate will be 18th Edition trained, hold the 2391 or 2394/5 Testing & Inspection qualification and have good experience of installing single and 3 phase chargers in a variety of commercial settings including (but not limited to) underground commercial and residential car parks, office car parks, schools, industrial units, power stations, public car parks and warehouses. Also, the candidate will be experienced in installing all forms of containment including tray, ladder-racking, conduit and trunking as well as terminating and connecting various sized SWA cables.
Candidates must be able to work proactively and safely in commercial environments and have a strong understanding of electrical systems and principals. Tasks should be completed efficiently and to the highest standard. We value transparency and communication, any job that is not running to time should be communicated as soon as any delay is realised so we can communicate this to the customer.
The right person will be given all the support needed to be successful in the role, however, they must have relevant experience to work alone or as part of a team. They will not be micromanaged, instead they will be trusted to complete the installations in a safe and efficient manner.
Excellent customer service is essential as well as professionalism. You will be required to communicate with the customer and explain / demonstrate how the charger works at the handover point. Our client will ensure that you are familiar with the chargers they install if you are not already.
You will be required to travel and work away on occasion. When working away, any overnight stay and expenses (meals) will be paid for by the company. We require flexibility, however you will be given as much notice as possible for any nights away.
The role is primarily for commercial installations and maintenance visits (reactive and planned) however, you may be required to install domestic chargers from time to time
