NOCN is seeking to recruit an External Communications and Digital Marketing Manager to work on a full-time permanent basis as part of NOCN's Marketing team at our Sheffield office.

Purpose and Objectives:
The External Communications and Digital Marketing Manager will support NOCN Group in building its visibility, influence and impact globally as a skills sector leader.
Through engaging, organic thought-leadership campaigns and content, the post-holder will promote NOCN Group’s expertise and full suite of skills solutions, whilst building the brand by sharing stories that bring its social purpose as a specialist skills charity to life, differentiating it from competitors for maximum stand-out. This will require an in-depth understanding of the marketplace (including regulatory landscape) and audiences (including key stakeholders and influencers).
You’ll have direct responsibility for maximising the Group’s social media platforms (Linkedin, Facebook and X) as key communications and engagement channels, as well as input into how to drive forward the brand, tone of voice and visual identity in a consistent, engaging, memorable and impactful way. And you’ll be responsible for the development and management of the corporate website content, ensuring it is a ‘shop window’ for a diverse range of audiences and optimised to maximise traffic, engagement and conversion through keyword-rich, high quality, relevant, easily digestible multimedia content. You’ll also need to act as the ‘eyes, ears and voice’ of the organisation as our in-house PR expert.
Everything you do will need to be within the regulatory and compliance rules of the industry we operate in. That means you’ll need to be confident interpreting guidelines and following the right
approval processes prior to publications.
About you...
The ideal successful candidate will need to meet the following essential criteria:
* Membership or qualification in Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) or Communication, Advertising and Marketing (CAM).
* Sector specific knowledge and evidenced experience, including markets, media and publications, thought leaders, opportunities, trends, competitors and organisations, in at least one of NOCN Group targeted sectors (e.g. construction, business & admin, education, engineering & manufacturing, financial services, health & social care, management, retail and transport.).
* Experience in B2B marketing and communications activities including marketing plans and campaigns as well as the use of social media.
* Ability to make considered judgments.
Desirable criteria:
* Education Foundation or the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM).
* Knowledge of UK FE market, vocational qualifications, EPA apprenticeships, job cards.
