Senior Structural Engineer - Required for my client to join their office in Teesside. My client is a Civil Engineering consultancy that have been established since 1987. They provide a diverse range of professional Civil, Structural and Surveying services to their clients nationwide and overseas.
They cover all major construction sectors such as Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Public Sector etc.
The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for working with existing clients as well as generating new clients through a good reputation and high standards. Additionally, they will be responsible in helping grow the office, as a result, good communication and management skills are needed.
Senior Structural Engineer Position Remuneration
1. Salary: £40k - £55k DOE

Senior Structural Engineer Position Overview
5. Manage current clients and generate new clients.
6. Manage design and engineering team.
7. Liaising with all parties during the design process including architects.
8. The opportunity to work on a wide range of challenging projects across all sectors (mix of new build and refurbishments as well as Large Commercial projects).
9. Complete detailed specifications on structural designs.
10. Designing structures efficiently using concrete, steel, masonry and timber.
11. Make sure both projects and design work are completed to the agreed timescales.
12. Produce technical design information including drawings, calculations, specifications and reports.
13. Undertake structural surveys and produce reports giving findings, discussion, conclusions and recommendations.
14. Attend and input at design meetings and site meetings, and record actions.
Senior Structural Engineer Position Requirements
15. Sc/MEng qualified in relevant Civil/Structural Engineering discipline.
16. Chartered with IStructE or close to achieving.
17. Experience in delegating and supervising junior team members.
18. Competent in designing structures in concrete, steelwork, timber and masonry.
19. Able to use computer design software packages.
20. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit or Scia and Tekla.
21. Excellent communication skills.
