Key responsibilities, but not limited to
1. Monitor delivery of the project, identifying risk and opportunities and working with key stakeholders to optimise project delivery.
2. Assess the ‘constructability’ of the proposed design and ensure that Design teams produce feasible designs within the required timescales.
3. Lead the delivery of construction works, ensuring compliance with all company processes and protocols.
4. Review and approve contractor documents as delegated by Project Manager
5. Support and develop the supervisory and engineering team, and support project steering groups/cross discipline action groups, as required.
6. Perform up front site surveys including liaising with designers.
7. Proofread and approves drawings.
8. Where appropriate, act as point of contact for site related project issues.
9. Act as Test Team Leader where appropriate
10. Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm.
11. Manage the implementation of systems and processes for Right First-Time approach.
12. Overall ownership of Handover Documentation for Section
13. Input and drive of operational target programs to reflect overall construction program.
14. Liaise with off-site functions for knowledge sharing and best practice.
15. Identify longer term strategic training to support individual development as required.
16. Management of subcontractors and advise on commercial aspects / preferred attendances and operational risks to the scheme and mitigation options.
17. Support the work winning process by providing technical input.
18. Carry out EDF specific training in becoming EDF approved field supervisor, nominated competent person, WOC specifier and Nominated supervisor.
19. Collating project take off’s for quotation purposes
20. Producing EC&I RAMS & Quality plans for client review
Key Skills required
Core
21. Practical understanding of services discipline associated with the role this being EC&I bias .
22. HNC/HND qualifications in either Electrical or C&I discipline (Advantageous, although not essential)
23. Collaborative working environment experience.
24. Experience in the management of a wide range of construction operations, including phasing and contingency planning, together with testing and handover.
25. Highly numerate, with strong commercial awareness and good technical knowledge

31. Substantial experience within H&S Management in an operational setting, including method statements, accident/incident investigation, knowledge of current HSE and CDM legislation and proficiency in the use of H&S Management
32. Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately and experience in implementing systems improvements.
Production Control
33. Knowledge and experience of links between design teams and operational delivery

34. Can understand, implement, and champion the Organisational Business Management Systems and processes involved.
35. Clear understanding and experience of the requirements for handover and self-certification of the works
