Project Engineer (Medical Equipment Manufacturing)

The Role:
* This role is a hybrid role, in part based at the Head Office near Skipton, North Yorkshire, 2 days at home with the others in the office (flexible days).
* You will lead the development and upkeep of manufacturing equipment and buildings, support the site in Project Engineering activities and remedial works.
* It’s vital that you managing the lifecycle, refurbishment or replacement of company assets to ensure the business is functioning at optimum levels.
* You will lead factory-based projects, in line with agreed business targets and priorities and you’ll identify areas of process improvement, making recommendations to implement these improvements.
* At times you will be asked to provide technical information on appropriate areas to various departments and functions across the business.
* You’ll organise and prioritise workloads, liaising and working alongside the Maintenance & Facilities Manager.
* At all times you’ll ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with appropriate internal and external Health, Safety & Environmental requirements.
* Full initial training will be provided with ongoing career development.
Package:
* Basic up to £55k

The Ideal Person:
* This role is ideally suited for an existing Project Engineer, with an electrical bias, who is looking to take the next step of their career!
* Will be need a HNC, HND or high level of qualification in Electrical Engineer, along with suitable post-graduation work experience.
* You need experience working within a manufacturing environment, or a highly related sector.
* It’s vital you experience working in a highly regulated environment, along with experience in managing multi-disciplined project teams.
* You will need experience in the management of capital budgets across a range of project values.
* Experience with PLC Interrogation & Automation is highly desirable.
* It goes without saying, you will need strong communication skills both written and oral, and you need to have great interpersonal skills.
* A strong understanding of IT, Microsoft Office packages, and the use of reporting systems is vital.
* Applications must live in a reasonable commuting distance of Head Office near Skipton, or be willing to relocate (no relocation package available)
