Are you a sports coach looking to make a difference in an educational setting?
Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate, compassionate, and energetic individual to join the team as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. Your experience in coaching and motivating young people will be invaluable in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, adapting teaching methods as needed.
* Foster positive relationships, encourage motivation, and build self-confidence in students.
* Use sports coaching techniques to support focus, teamwork, and physical coordination among students.
* Collaborate with teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
* Assist in behavior management by employing strategies from your sports coaching experience, creating a calm and focused learning atmosphere.
* Support students in developing resilience, patience, and perseverance through structured activities and learning exercises.
What You Bring:
* Communication Skills: As a coach, you’re used to giving clear instructions and feedback. These skills will be crucial when working with students who may need extra guidance and encouragement.
* Adaptability: Experience adapting training to meet various skill levels in sports is easily transferable to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
* Behavior Management: Your experience in maintaining discipline and focus on the field will help you create a positive, respectful learning environment in the classroom.
* Teamwork: Just like on the field, teamwork in the classroom is essential.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a sports coach or sports-related role.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage children.
* An enhanced child DBS on the update service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
