Job Purpose / Primary Objective
To be responsible for leading, training, coaching, and appraising the store’s inventory and administration team, with the aim of delivering world-class services and creating a dynamic and forward-thinking team. To be responsible for overseeing the inventory control and process implementation across multiple warehouse locations; including having a regular onsite presence or as the role requires
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following tasks:
* Line management responsibilities for Inventory Controllers and the Stores Administration team.
* Management of key Inventory Control processes, including, but not limited to:
Materials Requirement Planning
Perpetual inventory stock counting/inventory accuracy checks
Investigation of stock discrepancies and errors
Control of stock adjustments
* Production of internal and external management reports including, but not limited to, stock holdings, stock utilisation and stock movements.
* Minimising overstocks and promotion of removal of obsolete/redundant materials to maximise availability of working capital.
* Liaison with clients to manage demand-driven customer-owned buffer stocks, ensuring compliance with client policies and procedures.
* Liaison with internal and external parties to advise and plan for impending stock issues.
* Management of Stores Administration activities, to facilitate accurate and timely inventory data.

Person Specification
* Proven experience as inventory manager or similar position.
* Working knowledge of inventory management software.
* Experience of SAP S4HANA is preferred, but not essential.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
* Excellent organizational and planning skills.
* Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
* Team worker as well as the ability to work on own initiative.
* Ability to meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
