Are you an experienced Procurement Manager striving to deliver the best-in-class global procurement for all categories of subcontract, strategic materials, bulk materials and leverage spend?
As The Procurement Manager will work primarily in a role focused on the fit-out of specific buildings and contribute to the successful delivery of the HPC project.
Bouygues Travaux Publics (TP) and Laing O'Rourke, two of Europe's most dynamic engineering and construction specialists, are working together in a joint venture named BYLOR to deliver the main civil engineering works at Hinkley Point C (HPC) worth over £4 billion.

Key Role and Responsibility
* Subcontract procurement including, but not limited to:
o Identifying the potential supply chain for each work package by engaging with potential companies.
o Carrying out a sealed tender process using e-tender software.
o Fielding tender queries and managing the responses.
o Analysis of tender responses and normalisation of bids.
o Negotiation of subcontracts within set boundaries.
o Appointment of the selected subcontractor including responsibility that the agreements are correctly signed by all parties.
o Review and identify areas for opportunity across the procurement process.
o Drive compliance and understanding of procurement by working effectively with colleagues in other functions.
o Taking ownership for the resolution for any supply chain issues.
o Maintain, and where necessary, build effective working relationships with the supply chain.
o Provide guidance and support to colleagues in all functions.
Market Analysis
Understand the supply market for specific works packages by identifying and monitoring the size of the market, position of the vendors (winners / losers), understand existing workloads and use this information to support the procurement activities for those works packages.
Supply Chain Selection
Select the Supply Chain who are technically competent, financially stable, well organised, capacity conscious, innovative, service centric and willing to offer a high level of value to support the needs of Bylor including, but not limited to pre-qualification and formal commitment against:
Key Skills & Competencies
* Letting of procurement packages in a live project environment either as a Procurement Manager, Buyer or Quantity Surveyor.
* Experience in commercial building fit-out works.
* Experience of vendor selection, profiling and prequalification.
* Experience of tender process enquiry drafting, tender process management, bid analysis and contractual negotiation.
* Microsoft Office and general IT proficiency.
* Specifications and other technical and quality deliverables.
* Compliance to mandatory project process and procedures.
* Contractual compliance.
* Regulatory compliance.
Additional Information
All positions with Bylor are employed directly with either Laing O'Rourke or Bouygues Travaux Public and include competitive salaries, private medical insurance, company pension schemes and annual holiday allowance. Some grades will also include a company car allowance.
Unless stated otherwise, all positions are based at Hinkley Point C in Somerset.
