SALARY: SALARY BAND for 0.628 fraction: £13,866-£16,403 plus pension and performance-related pay, Full time equivalent salary BAND: £22,365 – £26,500
JOB TYPE: Permanent
HOURS: Part time – 26hrs over 4 days/week for 40 working weeks, 0.62 fraction
LOCATION: Stevenage Campus
JOB PURPOSE:
To coordinate work experience and supported internship placements for our Supported Studies students. You will be responsible for the whole process from sourcing high quality and appropriate placements, preparing students to go out on work placements, supporting employers to deliver a great experience and ensuring all students successfully complete their required placement hours.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
3. Motivated, driven and committed to consistently achieving KPI targets.
4. Effective management of time and diary to ensure KPI achievement.
5. Excellent communication skills including experience of working with students with SEND, aged 16-25
6. Professional ‘can do’ approach to working with a variety of staff and employers
7. Familiarity with work experience and/or apprenticeships beneficial but not essential
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
8. Work as part of a highly motivated and highly committed Supported Studies team, sourcing high quality industry placements for our students with SEND
9. Contact local employers to generate high quality and appropriate placements for 100% of our Supported Studies students
10. Liaise with a combination of new and existing clients
11. Work with students to get the right opportunities
12. Prepare students to go out on work experience, ensuring they complete the required hours and generate the required evidence
13. Complete health and safety visits as required
14. Use our online work experience system, Grofar to record and monitor all placements
15. Work closely with the curriculum team to ensure a smooth process for all students
16. Monitor and mentor each student on placement to ensure issues are dealt with efficiently
17. Complete Access to Work applications and claims for our Supported Interns
18. Produce regular reports on progress
