Production Manager (Chemical Operations)
My client, a manufacturing company based in Kirkby, is looking to recruit a Production Manager for their Chemicals, Diagnostic & Pharmaceuticals division.
This role requires a person experienced in running operations in a busy factory/warehouse environment with good knowledge of chemicals and their handling, hazards, etc.
This is a hands-on position in the factory, not a desk job, although there is paperwork involved.
Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing and being involved in all aspects of day-to-day operations and work handling in this division.
2. Liaising with the Sales team, factory operatives, and logistics department regarding lead times on orders, distributing worksheets, and fulfilling orders.
3. Handling and overseeing all paperwork for Order Picking, Filling / Goods In / Goods Out, and transferring completed paperwork to the correct department.
4. Overseeing, organizing, and being involved in all aspects of warehousing activities: Production, Manufacture, Storage, Correct Labelling, Stock Rotation, Stocktaking Counts, and Hazard Management.
5. Liaising with the Production Manager on the other two divisions regarding factory operative utilization across the divisions.
6. Liaising with and reporting to the Chief Operating Officer regarding all operations under their control.
