Duties & responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the interface management process, ensuring effective communication and coordination between different rail subsystems, such as MEP, track, signalling, electrification, rolling stock, and communication systems.
* Develop and implement strategies to identify, document, and resolve interface issues during the project lifecycle.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design, analyse, and optimise rail systems, including but not limited to MEP, Fire, signalling, train control, electrification, and communication systems.
* Conduct technical assessments and provide expert guidance on system integration.
* Work closely with project managers, system architects, and other stakeholders to define interface requirements and specifications.
* Ensure alignment of interface management activities with project schedules, milestones, and overall objectives.
* Identify potential risks related to interface management and develop mitigation plans.
* Proactively address issues to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
* Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to interface requirements, design decisions, and issue resolutions.
* Generate reports for project management and stakeholders on interface management progress and challenges.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience & Attributes
Essential
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of rail systems, including signalling, train control, electrification, and communication systems.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
* Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to rail systems.
* Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyse complex issues and propose innovative solutions.
* Project management skills and the ability to work within defined timelines.
