Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for an Advanced Practitioner or Diplomate in Dermatology to provide support while our dermatologist is on parental leave. You will manage referral dermatology cases independently in our specialist-led multi-disciplinary hospital, providing high-quality care to patients and referring vets. You will work closely with our dedicated nurse and other specialist teams, particularly in soft tissue surgery, medicine, and neurology. We have CT and MRI on site, video otoscopy, a dedicated microscope, and a consulting room for dermatology. We are flexible and would consider part-time or full-time options.

About us
Paragon is a purpose-built diplomate-led multidisciplinary referral hospital situated just outside the City of Wakefield. Opened in 2018, the centre benefits from a clean and modern design, allowing our teams to deliver the highest quality of care. As a multidisciplinary centre, you will work alongside leading specialists supported by skilled veterinary nurses. Our practice is RCVS accredited to Small Animal Veterinary Hospital level, ensuring outstanding levels of care.
The hospital is close to the beautiful rural Yorkshire countryside with excellent main road links via the M1 and M62, and easy access to Leeds. The nearest airport is Leeds and Bradford, with easy access to Manchester.
There are plenty of activities in the surrounding area for adults, families, and children, including Yorkshire Sculpture Park, National Trust properties, and walks in the Peak District, Yorkshire moors, or Yorkshire dales.
