RAC are looking for Field Based Vehicle Technicians to join our Service, Maintenance and Repair Division.
You will be carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and light repairs across a defined geographical area. As a qualified motor industry professional, you will utilise your knowledge to examine vehicles, components, and trade premises, producing condition reporting and providing technical feedback on your findings.

Work Pattern will be Monday to Saturday between 8am and 8pm – 35hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
11. Carry out vehicle inspections and premises audit visits to check performance against set standards.
12. Providing written and verbal communication to customers and colleagues, applying your professional approach to share expert advice and recommendations for the specific audience concerned.
13. Complete written and electronic technical condition reports.
14. Administering daily work duties to ensure that reports are completed and relevant processes followed.
15. Working within all procedures in the quality system ISO 9001:2000
16. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the industry and all schemes, products and procedures relevant to the role
What you’ll need…
17. Sound mechanical and bodywork knowledge of all aspects of vehicle construction and repair
18. Relevant motor trade experience that ideally will have included some customer-facing duties
19. Good oral and communications skills
20. To be able to work with limited supervision and fit in with an established team
Qualifications :
21. Recognised motor industry qualifications (City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent).
22. Hold NVQ2 level 3 or equivalent in motor mechanics
23. A good understanding of vehicle diagnostics is essential and Electric/Hybrid vehicles is desirable
