Learning Support Assistants
Are you seeking a fulfilling opportunity to support young people with special educational needs in a dynamic school environment? Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a reputable SEN School in Lyndhurst, Hampshire.
The school is currently in search of Learning Support Assistants to support pupils ages 5-19 years old on the Autism Spectrum.
Having visited the school, I would highly recommend school and would personally consider this to be a lovely place to work.

Previous experience working with pupils on the autism spectrum is desired.
Progression routes are also available if you are looking to work up from a LSA to a Teaching position.
Contract Details:
1. Hours: 08:30 – 16:30 Monday and Tuesday, 08:30 – 16:00 Wednesday and Thursday and 08:30 – 15:00 on Fridays.
2. Part-Time: Part-time days are accommodated, but not part-time hours.
3. Working Weeks: 39 weeks per year (term-time only role).
4. Hourly Rate: £ per hour.
5. Location: Lyndhurst, Hampshire (transport links available)
6. Contract: Temp-To-Perm
Responsibilities:
Supporting young people throughout the education day under the direction of a teacher/tutor.
Assisting students in accessing a specifically designed curriculum through group learning and individual learning programmes.
Collaborating with a team to ensure the educational and developmental needs of students are met.
May work as a subject Teaching Assistant or provide 1:1 support to a young person.
Requirements:
7. Must have passed Maths & English GCSE (grade C or level 4).
8. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
9. Passionate about supporting the educational and developmental needs of young people.
10. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
11. Empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students with diverse needs.
Eligibility:
12. Right to Work in the UK.
13. Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate or willingness to undergo a new application.
14. Two professional references related to education or childcare.
