Main duties of the job
* Deliver high-quality outpatient clinics over weekends, ensuring a total of 250 appointments are fulfilled for patients on the NHS Tayside waiting list from November 2024 to January 2025.
* Provide on-the-day Flexible Cystoscopy services within the dedicated "one-stop" Urology Outpatient Facility at Perth Royal Infirmary, enhancing patient experience and efficiency.
* Oversee the comprehensive administration of clinic activities, including the timely requesting and follow-up of necessary imaging related to patient assessments and treatments.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care and ensure a seamless workflow throughout the clinic.

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Urology Consultant to join our team on a short-term, part-time basis to help manage and reduce the waiting list of NHS Tayside patients. This exciting opportunity will see you play a pivotal role in delivering patient care within the renowned Urology Outpatient Facility at Perth Royal Infirmary, contributing to the provision of high-quality urological services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Outpatient Clinics: Conduct weekend outpatient clinics, providing appointments over the contract period to patients currently on the NHS Tayside waiting list.
* Flexible Cystoscopy: Deliver same-day Flexible Cystoscopy procedures, as indicated, as part of the one stop urology service, ensuring patients receive timely and efficient care.
* Diagnostic and Imaging Oversight: Request and follow up on imaging (such as ultrasounds or CT scans) resulting from clinic appointments, ensuring all diagnostic processes are completed and any follow-up actions are appropriately managed.
* Administrative Workload: Handle all associated administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate patient records, clinic notes, and ensuring the completion of documentation following each clinic session.

* Consultant Level Experience: Proven experience as a Urology Consultant, with expertise in outpatient care and proficiency in performing Cystoscopy.
