Role: Registered Manager (OFSTED)

Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE
The Cambian Group is the UK’s largest provider of specialist behavioural and mental health services for children and young adults in the UK. Our services have a specific focus on individuals who present with high severity needs. We provide a broad range of specialist services including specialist education schools and colleges for both day and residential learners, residential care homes and therapeutic fostering services.
We are looking for a Registered Manager to work in an Ofsted registered children’s home at Cambian Whinfell School.
Whinfell School is located in the picturesque town of Kendal, Cumbria. Whinfell forms both home and school for students with outstanding facilities to enable students to learn, progress and grow as individuals. Whinfell School has a proud and successful tradition of supporting students between the ages of 11-19 with Asperger’s Syndrome (high functioning Autism) and Complex Needs to gain valuable life skills, qualifications and confidence to support their onward journey towards independence.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Manager to work as part of the senior management team and lead a team of hardworking and committed assistant managers and support workers. The successful candidate will provide strong, strategic leadership to drive regulatory success. They will ensure our children and young people enjoy a safe and happy home environment whilst developing their life skills and independence under guidance and support of the care, therapy and education teams.
You will be able to demonstrate a highly developed awareness of safeguarding, team management and challenges associated with a diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome and other complex difficulties. You will also need to be able to apply the principles of care management and use your exceptional organisational skills together with a high level of accuracy, to ensure the efficient running of a successful care home.
Your excellent people skills will:
Provide inspirational leadership to the staff team.
Offer compassionate support and encouragement to our children, young people and staff.
Work collaboratively with a Multi-disciplinary team, understanding competing demands of the different professionals.
Develop strong working relationships with a the range of professionals to ensure the safety, wellbeing and best outcomes for the children and young people we support.
Provide support and guidance to families.
Essential Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years experience within a similar role.
Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management (Children)
