Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Goodwood - New Model Launch & Pre-Assembly - 13 Month Placement (July 2025)
Within our department we have two areas of responsibility, our series Assembly teamwork towards producing outstanding pinnacle vehicles to the highest quality standards for our prestigious clients whilst our Launch and Special Vehicle team support the development of pre series production vehicles, manufacturing early examples in order to industrialise processes and ensure we deliver operational and customer requirements. Our team is seeking a placement student to join from July 2025.
What awaits you?
1. Supporting daily leadership operational needs.
2. Steering your own projects within the department to develop your own leadership skills and network.
3. Working alongside cross-functional teams to support them in the continuous improvement cycle.
4. Supporting the development of digitalization within the department.
5. Working alongside manufacturing associates to understand the impact of engineering concepts and the problem-solving methods behind improving them.
Qualifications and Experience
6. Studying a Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s degree and on track to achieve a 2:2 or above in a Mechanical Engineering or Business Management degree.
7. Fluent in English; a working knowledge of German would be beneficial but not essential.
8. Extensive PC skills (Microsoft Office, CAD, SharePoint, etc).
9. Problem solving, time management and communication skills shown through involvement in projects and activities undertake at university and in your spare time.
10. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing would be beneficial.
11. Any other skills that will benefit our business that you can give evidence of how you have applied these skills.
