TheFinance Officer is responsiblefor financial operations and management ofour organization. This is a highly responsible position thatrequires exceptional attention to detail strong analytical skillsand the ability to work effectively under pressure. The successfulcandidate will have a deep understanding of financial principlesand practices as well as the ability to communicate complexfinancial information to variousstakeholders.
Thepost is directlyresponsible to Director BSL UK andfunctionally responsible to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) throughthe Finance Manager in Qatar.
CoreActivity
Undertakingfinancial transactions including but not limited to maintaining UKfinancial ledgers reconciliation activities processing of invoicesand payments to customers suppliers and employees and maintainingan invoice tracker.
Managerelationships with Banks and Auditors.
Assistingwith the development of Financial Controls andimprovements.
Providedata integrity and liaise with other functions to streamlineintegrated processes and improveefficiency.
Managingthe application of the controls in theprocesses.
Ensurecompliance with financial policies andprocedures.
Maintainingthe Fixed Asset (FA) Register and undertakingreviews.
Supportingthe management of FX risk andplanning.
Supportingthe maintenance of the accountingsystem.
Undertakingfinancialanalysis.
Supportin the month end timetable and month end closeprocess.
Supportthe timely and accurate completion of Statreporting.
Managingthe complete month end process in a timely manner including balancesheet reconciliation.
Leadingreviews with other functions by developing financial presentationsto analyse forecast/actuals with Service Delivery Manager whichfeeds the business financereview.
ContractFinance Report (CFR) providing the actuals rolling over the CFR andcompleting the balance sheet items building up towards completingthe wholeCFR.
Developthe capabilities to conduct correct accountingallocation.
Ownerof the expense process as an ERP system (Zoho)superuser.
Stayupdated on industry trends and changes in regulations to ensurecompliance and proactively adapt financial strategies asneeded.
Supportingany additional activities as necessary within the finance function.

Reconciliationsfor tax purposes and VAT
Completionof month end accruals
Completionof the Financial Control Framework (FCF) Workbooks
Reconciliationof the monthly General Ledger
Maintenanceof the FA Register
Controland reconciliation of debtor and creditor accounts
Completionof bankreconciliations
Developand implement financial policies and procedures to ensurecompliance with industry regulations and bestpractices
Regularfinancial audits conducted in which areas of risk identified andmitigation controlsimplemented
Requirements
Bachelorsdegree (Preferred but qualified by experience considered) infinance accounting or a related field.
Strongknowledge of financial principles andpractices
Proficiencyin financial software and tools such as Excel Sage and ERP tools(Zoho BooksDesirable).
Proficientin financial software and systems with advanced knowledge of Exceland experience in financialmodelling
Stronganalytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpretcomplex financialdata
Highlydetailoriented with a strong sense of accuracy andprecision
Abilityto work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines andhandle multiple tasks and deadlineseffectively
Abilityto work independently and as part of ateam

Qualifications Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideallyin Aeronautical Engineering or Military equivalent apprenticeshipAcademic qualification for this role is a minimum of City &Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance orequivalent. Experienced and competent leader at this level.Requires a minimum of 2 years working at Technician level prior toundertaking a Supervisor role. Demonstrating breadth of experience,currency & recency via a Log Book (electronic or paper) ofskills, knowledge and authorities for working on Aircraft type orin bays.
