Sales Director
Location: Solent (Hybrid: Office 2-3 days per week, Remote, and Customer Visits)
Salary: c£65k + Bonus

We are partnering with a leading commercial butcher based in the Solent, renowned for supplying premium meat products to hospitality businesses across the South of the UK. Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead their sales team, manage key accounts, and drive business growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic professional with a proven track record in sales management and business expansion.
Lead and manage the sales team, including internal sales and two external Business Development Managers (BDMs), ensuring they meet targets and provide excellent customer service.
Oversee the management of major accounts, nurturing existing relationships and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Execute the recently restructured and refreshed sales strategy, focusing on expanding the customer base within a 30-mile radius of the Solent.
Develop and implement sales plans to drive new business acquisition, focusing on the hospitality sector (restaurants, hotels, etc.).
Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews with the sales team to ensure continuous development and achievement of goals.
Collaborate closely with other departments to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
Report on sales performance, provide insights, and recommend improvements to senior management.
Proven experience in a senior sales management role, preferably within the food supply or hospitality industry.
Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Highly organized, with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
