We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills, who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join us at Kepak Merthyr in the role of Shipping and Logistics Administrator.
Hours of work: 8:30am to 17:30pm Monday to Friday
Role purpose:
As the Shipping and Logistics Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our logistic process. Your main responsibilities will include assigning customer orders to containers for export, liaising with production, and managing relationships with cold stores and hauliers. You will also be responsible for maintaining the incoming deliveries calendar, liaising with the Intakes team, sales support, and suppliers, and sharing all the information with the site.

Minimum Requirements:
* Previous logistics and/or shipping experience desired.
* Strong administration skills in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in IT and MS Office applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word, is essential.
* Knowledge of ERP Systems an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
* Ability to maintain priorities and meet deadlines.
* Be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills.
* Attention to detail is crucial in this role, as you will be dealing with important documentation.
* You should also have excellent telephone communication abilities to effectively communicate with customers and suppliers.
