The Faculty of Architecture and History of Art is seeking a Project Administrator to co-ordinate and support the efficient running of research projects within the Faculty to ensure their smooth operation. This role will be part time (0.6 FTE) and fixed term until 31 December 2025.
Grants in the Faculty are diverse, and work will range from liaising with a team on the Public Map Platform on the Isle of Anglesey, assisting in a research project looking at an in-orbit demonstration of a large deployable telescope, and supporting the finances of a Centre for the Study of Classical Architecture.
Some of the main responsibilities of the role holder will include the following:
1. Forecasting project spending
2. Liaising with research teams and external institutions
3. Assisting in procurement linked to research
4. Arranging payment of expenses and invoices, including setting up new suppliers to the University
5. Journalling costs to and from research grants and ensuring that financial reporting is accurate
6. Participating in audits and research reports
7. Confirming funder requirements
Research Culture within the Faculty is vibrant and collaborative, and the post-holder will be able to share ideas and support cutting-edge research in two REF units of assessment.
The Faculty is committed to flexibility in working, and this role could be undertaken, in part, remotely; however, it is anticipated that the role holder would attend the Faculty upon request, especially during any probationary period.
