Description
Our Forestry and Arboriculture department delivers a broad range of education programmes and industry training, including further education, apprenticeships and short courses. Our provision is growing in all areas.
We have unrivalled teaching spaces including a large multi-space workshop, bespoke training area, woodlands on campus and access to private woodlands through our excellent relationships with landowners. We have a wide range of teaching resources covering all aspects of forestry and arboriculture operations and are continually growing our stocks. We have a longstanding relationship with JAS P Wilson enabling us to provide learners with the opportunity to work with a wide range of machinery and timber processing equipment.
As a Trainer Assessor at Plumpton College your main focus will be to deliver industry training for a broad range of certificates of competency including climbing and aerial rescue, chainsaw maintenance and cross cutting and felling small trees. You may be working with Apprentices, age 16-18 Further Education students or adult short course attendees.
You will be joining a vibrant, experienced and large team of industry professionals, who bring with them a broad range of industry experiences and operate as a cohesive and supportive team.

We are looking for Forestry & Arboriculture industry professionals looking to make a career change with a strong knowledge and background in Tree Science, surveying & Inspection and Estate Skills. Excellent up to date practical skills are also desirable with our in house NPTC training centre, LandPro, being able to upskill or refresh competency tickets where required.
