We have an exciting opportunity for an Employment and Training Officer to join our team. The Post holder will be based across Ayrshire.

within employability partner premises. Working within Salus Return to Work Services based in Beckford Street, Hamilton the Post holder will be required to work in a flexible nature across both health board areas.

Job Detail
This role will have the key responsibility to support the referral volumes into our Working for a Healthy Economy service. The post holder will support the Case Management Service by:
1. Working autonomously to generate their own engagement opportunities and manage their own diary.
2. Attending existing employability activities and engaging participants on their health, wellbeing and any health related barriers towards work.
3. Regularly engaging our agreed referrers and assisting with knowledge on the support available and the referral process.
4. Organising and delivering Training Sessions.
5. Attending community events and promoting the Working for a Healthy Economy Service.
6. Supporting clients to attend positive activities.
7. Keeping accurate records of their client engagements and engagement activity within an agreed format in a timely manner.

What we'll need you to bring
8. Educated to HNC level or above in a health or social care related subject or knowledge acquired through demonstrable experience
9. Experience of working with vulnerable adults.
10. Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills in working with people on a 1:1 basis and within organisations
11. Experience of working in a community, hospital or social care setting
12. Be able to work independently and within a team liaising with colleagues as required.
13. Experience of a variety of computer packages including Word, Outlook and Powerpoint
14. Current valid UK driving licence with access to own vehicle.

Please note this is a fixed term post for 12 Months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
Location and Working Pattern
This post is based in the community working with participants on a face to face basis across Ayrshire.
The working pattern for this role Monday-Thursday 9-5 and Friday 9-4.30.
