MAIN PURPOSE: -To develop and deliver detailed plans for continued service developments in line with Brainkind core aims and objectives linked Brainkinds Strategic Plan, including managing budgets. -To take overall responsibility for the effective management of projects as assigned by the Director of Operations, thereby ensuring the provision of the highest quality standards of care and treatment, driven by the needs of the individual. -To meet full compliance in line with the requirement of the regulatory body and relevant legislation. -To take support existing Service Mangers to meet the quality requirements and cover the Service Manger role should the need arise. -To manage organic and planned change within services, to meet the demands of new business. MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES -Demonstrate professional leadership and provide ‘hands on’ management support and guidance, managing staff activities and influencing their practices and attitudes. -Assume line management responsibilities for the team and lead clinicians where appropriate, to provide operational support and direction. Ensuring that performance standards are identified and met. -Take overall responsibility for recruitment, employment and working practises, complying with Employment Law and contractual obligations. To include the provision of Induction, training and support as required in respect of the statutory responsibilities of the service and the Trust, with particular emphasis on our aims, values, and high-performance standards. -To be an active member of the Operations Group as indicated and on occasion to take on additional defined responsibilities in relation to events such as investigations, disciplinary/grievance hearings, and the provision of management support to other services. Promote the ethos of exceptional customer responsiveness across the region to all stakeholders including service users, families, purchasers, referrers, and other professional partners. This may require additional and or unsocial hours and or overnight stays. -To ensure person centred practices and planning are implemented in any projects and service delivery models, maximising the inclusion of service users at all levels. -To write and disseminate summary reports to relevant stakeholders throughout the project to agreed timeframes. -To take a lead role, in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, in the provision of service review and development, ensuring reports are of a professional standard and collated in a timely manner. -Demonstrate strong people skills to ensure your team remains motivated. -Undertaking other projects and changing activities as directed, whilst ensuring immediate needs are continually balanced with the longer-term vision, engaging with all stakeholders. -All developments of environmental space should ensure the highest standards are adhered to and full compliance with Brainkind and external regulators is achieved. -To constantly monitor quality standards using agreed audit and governance outcome measures. -Working in conjunction with Brainkind’s Quality Assurance and Health and Safety departments to both reflect and act upon issues of quality and standards within the service, with the aim of striving towards continuous improvements. -To be responsible for the ongoing review of all areas of risk management within the designated location. -Carry out any other duties within the general scope of the post as directed by Director of Operations. -To undertake, any reasonable travelling requirements, to fulfil the tasks and responsibilities of the role. About you We’re looking for: QCF (NVQ) Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification in Social Care/Health In Depth knowledge of statutory requirements such as Care Quality Commission regulations and outcomes. 5 years’ experience of managing Supported Living Services, Homecare Agencies and Housing legislation and regulations.
