On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are seeking to appoint a committed teacher with direct experience in Early Years for a full-time position commencing in September. This role is on a fixed term contract until at least July with a strong possibility of an extension or permanent appointment. This position pays MPS 1 -6 and is open to both ECTs and more experienced teachers. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Early Years Framework and be dedicated to providing holistic approach to learning.

This wonderful two-form entry school is located just off the A6 in Heavily, Stockport making it a fantastic option on the commute. It's a Church of England school with strong links to the community and educates a diverse catchment with an average number of SEND pupils. The school has a larger than average % of EAL pupils and showed incredible support to the arrival of Ukranian refugees.
EYFS Teacher
As the Early Years teacher, you will play an pivotal role in the progress and development of approximately 30 children. A strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework will be crucial to your success, as will an ability to support children with personalised learning plans.
-There will be a focus on developing:
1. Communication and language
2. Physical Development
3. Personal, social and emotional development
-Within the EYFS department, you will support a continuous provision approach to learning but also plan adult led tasks
-Various methods will be implemented into daily activities such as discussions, modelling, direct and indirect teaching
-With regards to behaviour management, you will provide consistent structures and routines that promote independence and active participation
-You will be expected to provide a nurturing approach to all those in your care, whilst implementing firm boundaries and expectations to promote good habits and behaviour. These will be based on praise and positive reinforcement.
-Baseline data will be collated to review and build upon. You will also follow the Read Write Inc phonics scheme to teach initial sounds and support pupils' reading and writing development.
