Job Description
As Employee Engagement Officer, you will be serving as the first point of contact for all employee queries, providing guidance and support, and escalating issues when necessary.
You will manage individual cases alongside managers, ensuring consistency and adherence to standards. Additionally, you will collaborate with the People and Culture team to initiate and lead tasks and processes that support business objectives.
Your primary focus will be on promoting positive employee engagement and working closely with Operations Leads to optimise people performance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure confidentiality, privacy and dignity is maintained at all times in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation
2. Manage a diverse variety of ER issues effectively mitigating any risks to the business, engaging ACAS code of practice and limiting employment tribunals
3. Be the first point of contact to provide advice, guidance and support to managers regarding people management cases
4. Work alongside the People and Culture team for escalation and complex people cases
5. Ensure guidance is in line with the organisations policies, procedures and employment law and that you identify the risk prior to decisions being taken in order to minimise risk, reputational damage and financial exposure
6. Support managers in the review of correspondence and reports relevant to employee relations issues and, on occasion take on the drafting of such documentation where expertise dictates that this is the most effective solution
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
7. Experience in managing people
8. Excellent communication skills (oral and written), Influencing and negotiation skills
9. Able to make presentations, give advice and communicate effectively
10. Knowledge of standard ACAS policies along with grievance and disciplinary resolution
11. Basic TUPE knowledge and/or experience
12. Microsoft Office, Excel and Power point
