The Retreat Clinics York are recruiting a Clinical/CounsellingPsychologists to join our highly skilled multi-disciplinary neurodevelopmentalteam to work within our adult autism service.
We are a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation seeking a clinicianwho can bring a high level of experience working with neurodiverse people. Youwill deliver diagnostic assessments for autism and also offer psychologicaltherapy for neurodivergent people.

Main duties of the job
The candidate will form part of the multi-disciplinary teaminvolved in the diagnostic process for autism, completing the standardisedassessments involved in this process. The candidate will also provide tailoredpsychological therapy for neurodivergent people, informed by NICE guidelines.
We are looking for someone who is passionate aboutneuro-affirmative practice when working with neurodivergent people. This roleprovides exciting opportunities for consultation with the neurodivergentcommunity and maintaining/developing links with other services/organisations toensure we always provide high quality neuro-affirmative care.
Weare seeking someone who has excellent communication skills and understands thespecific communication and sensory needs of neurodivergent people and adopts anapproach that helps tofacilitatepositive therapeutic relationships. The candidate will have good team workingskills and experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

1. Educated to post graduate degree level with a doctorate qualification.
Experience

2. Knowledge of how to implement evaluation of services and research
3. activity.
4. Experience of using outcomes measures to evaluate own clinical practice.
Desirable
5. A minimum of three years experience and appropriate training in
6. assessment, diagnosis and therapy services for adults who are
7. neurodivergent.
8. Experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities and/or ADHD
9. Training and experience in clinical supervision.
10. Experience and knowledge of the delivery of training courses for and
11. consultations with other professionals.
